Debra uses the new Magic Melt Away Plastic stabilizer (below) that you can stitich through without it tearing - it's the real secret!

Magic Melt Away Plastic Stabilizer (Item #MMS)

Use this 100% heat removable film as a stabilizer on all fabrics that can withstand an iron temperature of 260 - 300 degrees F. (120 - 140 C). Excellent for Battenber Lace and Cutwork. It does not tear when making the bridging stitchesand mets away with a hot iron. Iron temperature must be at least 260 degrees F (120 C). Sample package contains 2 yards - 10".
