With a love for the Victorian Era it was only natural that Debra would fall in love with Heirloom Sewing. She has produced how to DVD's, "Precious Petticoats" an Introduction to Heirloom Sewing and Sew You Want To Get Fancy. Her work has been featured in publications such as Sew News, Sewing Decor and The Creative Machine. Debra's first book Modern Machine Techniques was a best seller and her second Learn to Sew With Your Feet soon followed. Debra inspires others how to recreate vintage clothing and teddy bears from the Victorian Era.

With the success of her two books she continues to write as a freelance writer for SEW NEWS Magazine. She shares her ideas and new techniques on how to use a variety of sewing machine feet.
