Silks
I prewash my silks on a delicate cycle in cool water, tumble dry for 10 minutes and hang to dry. I do this exact same thing to my finished garments and when damp dry, I touch up with a dry medium iron. Remember not to use spray starch or water on your silks as you sew them. I also use bottled water in my iron to prevent water spots and it works great.
